Bitfinex Securities Launches Tokenized Equity Products in UK, Focusing on Alternative Finance

Bitfinex Securities is charting a distinct path in the blockchain-based real-world assets (RWAs) space with two new tokenized equity products in the UK. While traditional finance giants like BlackRock dominate the RWA narrative with tokenized money market funds, Bitfinex is targeting niche alternative finance opportunities.

The first offering, TITAN1, allocates £5 million ($6.8 million) into subordinate debt issued by Castle Community Bank, supporting loans to financially excluded customers in Edinburgh. Investors receive a 20% annual dividend, paid quarterly for up to a decade, with a five-year lock-in period.

TITAN2 represents a more ambitious play, deploying £100 million ($136 million) into litigation financing for UK car finance mis-selling claims—a market poised to generate billions in compensation. Investors stand to gain 50% of claim recovery proceeds through equity-linked notes.
